[ Just gonna casually stroll back over to the tables. Feeling like some chicken kebabs, hmm... ]

[oh god. they're both doomed, and she's going to have to find a lake to put Lea in after all.]

[the piece of bacon-bark gets respectfully placed at the foot of the tree it came from, and Isa's returning to her regular food, scowling at Lea.]

[ Isa may be wondering: is this revenge for something? It may in fact be, but no, no it's not. She really does come here for food. More than once. ]

I remember when the most exciting food we'd ever had was at that steakhouse where they cooked on the table with all the fire.

[she is headed over though, steak sounds good for dessert, since apparently death is coming for them imminently. there are going to be like five options for Isa's mood later; it's like a gashapon but for emotions, and the secret prize will probably be either more kissing or more threats of physical violence. maybe both.]

[ Snackin' on kebabs with my bestie while imminent doom definitely comes for us. Lea couldn't be more thrilled by this outcome, to be honest, and the fact that she can see it affecting Isa's mood is even better. It's like old times! Only because she knows the threat isn't too bad... ]

Oh yeah. I remember thinking how cool that was.

[Lea won't be so thrilled when a single bee shows up and Isa flips completely over into berserk and destroys the entire room. she's honestly gearing up for something moderately serious, based on how nonchalant Lea's being. at the moment Isa's thinking about how finding a hibachi table to throw Lea onto sounds like a better idea than the lake.]

Remember there was that little kid at another table who wouldn't stop crying every time the fire went up?

She would be more urgent if it was more serious than it is, relax!! The kebabs are delicious, though, and Lea is sticking hers into her mouth and taking one of the giant bowls of food to... sort of trickle all of its content into another pile of food. She wants the bowl empty, is what I'm saying. ]

[no. well, probably, but then she was thinking more of Cleganeing this shit, if that would even work on Lea. is she still fireproof, with a heart? it doesn't even occur to her that Lea might want the bowl empty as a shield, or a weapon, which is what i assume it's for.

Isa's just grumpy and on guard now as she eats a bit of steak with her hands directly out of the serving bowl, because fuck everything. why is she friends with someone like Lea who pisses her off like this, i ask you. (the answer is that unfortunately, Lea comes through in the clutch, and also has great legs and the right sense of humor and probably very attractive hands as well, and also spite. she's made it through everything else, why bother detaching now.)]

[ God. (Sounds a little bit like an over-explanation. Just say it's true love and be done with it.)

Lea turns the bowl over completely and pats it to make sure it's empty, then moves to another table. She stops there, staring at Isa, and kind of looks like she's trying not to laugh. ]

Oh come on, relax. There's nothing dangerous in here. Just eat.

[the grouchiness is only half a bluff. on the one hand she was subconsciously expecting something like this, because it's Lea. on the other hand, in this place with free food and free everything else where she ended up suddenly with a Lea who she hadn't already smooched and gotten used to again, was a little peace and quiet so much to ask?

Isa gives Lea a really sullen look, but at least moves down the table a little bit to scope out the food. she's trying, really.]

Nahhh, you would've done it already.

[ She's calling the wrong bluff, isn't she? Anyway, the bowl is not a weapon or a shield, and she is now piling a little bit of food into it from every section, except the rice and noodles. Those aren't really finger foods. Roast chicken, pork, plus some wedges of various cheese and more of the breads. ]

This place regenerates food every day. Well, the whole world does, but I meant this room. It's... worth it, I'm just too lazy to deal with it usually. Kitchens are easier. Or Riku's.

[Lea's making it so that strangling will happen sooner rather than later, yes. Isa's attempting to relax, but she ate a fair amount of food already and can't shake the feeling that something's going to happen. she grabs a single croissant, a chocolate-filled one, and goes back to where they were sitting before. thoughtfully, as she sits down:]

I didn't think to check the contents of your freezer to see how much ice cream was in it.

[ She's the first to admit that. She moves the bowl to balance it against her considerable hip, plucking up a cinnamon apple muffin and taking a big bite of it. ]

[you can't just wind her up like this and then expect it to fade back out, Lea, you know that's not how Isa works. this is both smooches happened, and also the manhandling. B( she's clearly wound up, sitting cross-legged instead of relaxed with her legs out in front of her like she was before, and she keeps side-eyeing Lea.]

Not enough for two, I bet. Anything besides sea salt?

There's always enough for two. Also yeah, I have like four kinds.

[ What is she going to put in her freezer besides ice cream? ]

Sea salt caramel's one of them, so I don't know if that counts. Anyway, the fairies are going to come from that way.

[ She points with her free hand, some distance into the sugary forest. ]

Pretty sure they're made of candy. Like I said, nothing dangerous.

[ No she has a couple things, but it's 80% ice cream, let's be realistic. Lea stops, and eyes Isa with a kind of slow-dawning horror. ]

Wouldn't know. I didn't really think 'oh hey, fairies are attacking, maybe I'll just eat them'.

[the real question is would Isa eat fairies if they weren't made of candy. the answer is probably yes, if they were attempting to attack her. she's not some sort of barbarian who just eats innocent fairies, god. Isa casually pulls bits of her croissant off and eats them, before:]

[there's a good chance that probably happened because Isa dared her to, i imagine. Isa's attention twitches toward the sound, but she's got enough time to finish her croissant.]

I don't know why you would bother with stuff like that when cake exists.

[ I mean, probably. Lea's grabbing more shit to put in the bowl, because They Are Coming and usually she makes a fast getaway. ]
