[ There's so many questions she's holding back on asking, but she's afraid Isa will actually answer them, and she'll be responsible for changing things. ]

["no it's okay, Roxas will come down from the heavens and save us" and then the dementors eat everyone because time travel is bad. what if Isa's fingers creep up Lea's pants leg, just for casual contact? it's nice, not having gloves on after so many years of wearing them. not that she's one to talk, all buttoned up like she is constantly since the age of four.]

[ Well I dunno where Lea's mind went, but I know where mine went. I mean what. Honestly, it's so weird having physical contact with her, and Lea is normally affectionate — she was affectionate with Roxas ~~and Xion~~, she's affectionate with Riku and Kai here, she was affectionate with Isa growing up, and probably, at least, for a little while after they lost their Hearts. A desperate attempt at normalcy, and feeling something. This is something that hasn't happened in a long time, but it's familiar, and nostalgic. Maybe she's wondering if they've been like this, and Isa's had time to get used to it. Either way, she's not going to stop her.

She's a little suspicious it's about to lead to tickles, though. But surely not. ]

Sleeping. Kind of thought I was dreaming you up at first.

[i'm not trying to steer it, honest, it's more like if it goes there i'm down for it, but also what else COULD they do. there's no one around to bench press besides Lea, unless Riku happens to drop by, and about all Isa was doing back home was enjoying spending time with people. it's definitely more intimate with just one person, for sure, but she's not terribly inclined to make it not that way.]

That's more reasonable than the truth. But that figures, a place where you can do anything and you choose to sleep. Dork.

[ I had a clear visual of bench pressing and it was hilarious. Make it not more than one person, or make it not intimate? Lea pouts in her general direction, spreading her arms out across the back and armrest of the couch to take up as much space as possible. ]

[ Oh. Well, she's not uncomfortable, although she does snicker when Isa changes positions to mirror her. Feels like old sleepovers, or something. Also please, she's not nearly dead weight enough for it. ]

Maybe I am. I deserve naps too, after everything.

[like herding cats it was, for years, and also dealing with Xemnas slowly becoming more unhinged, on top of all the interpersonal non-emotional bullshit with Axel and the kids and ugh. exhausting. ideally she'll just be on vacation for the rest of her life.

[ I hear islands are good for that, or something. Also she... probably still loses foodstuff in there. It's so thick, after all. ]

Life with me around must be too much fun for you to handle after this long.

[ She kinda wants food, but Isa's the one who's really like a cat here. Lea feels like, if she moves, Isa will just get up and leave and all this pleasant, subtle affection will stop. ]

It is pretty tedious having to eat so much ice cream and be nice to people I was formerly a dick to.

[there, that's the last unsubtle hint you're getting, although that group of people includes Lea, so maybe it's not that helpful. but Lea's about to have to get up, because Isa's digging her own socked toes into Lea's ribs--]

[ That's another SUSPICIOUS squint on her face, but she doesn't have time to think about it from the actual, physical dig. It makes her squirm instantly and yell while she tries to grab Isa by the ankle. ]

Hey, hey, hey! Hey. None of that on my couch.

[she won't fight it; she'd probably even let Lea push her off on the floor. but that's gotten an honest, actual laugh out of her, because this is more like the shit that was going on prior to getting thrown here.]

Who's gonna stop me, punk? You?

[ She looks stunned, at first, expressions flickering through shock and confusion and then into the biggest grin she's had all day. She's kind of like a golden retriever, or something. It's more like she used to be, before they lost their Hearts, when she would get excited and playful as soon as someone went along with whatever dumb plan she wanted. She's amused and laughing herself, but it's because Isa is laughing. It's been a long, long time since she got to hear that. ]

Nothing, probably. Go out for ice cream and not bring you any. Or steal your pillows.

[it's already faded back into a smile, but it's good to get Lea laughing too. it would be really easy here to fall into old habits and ways of thinking for just the two of them, since she's so new to being friends with anyone besides Lea. but she doesn't want that; she's been enjoying hanging out with the kiddos, honest! right now, though, it is just the two of them, and it's okay that she's feeling a little possessive, right? right.]

[ When and if she finds out about Isa getting along with the kids, or when she goes back and experiences it, there will be tears. It's all she wants. To have all of her friends, healthy and happy. But for right now it's just them, so it's okay to be a little possessive on Isa's part, and a little clingy on Lea's. She's going to be attached to her for... a while. ]

The ice cream would be a low blow, but good luck. I have about fifty pillows in the place, and you haven't even seen my bed.

[ That's an exaggeration, but what's the point of living in a place like this if she can't live in luxury? ]

[hoHo, is that some sort of-- no, surely not, she's been here for half an hour. good thing Lea outside of this place was also still being clingy, with basically everyone. near death experiences + getting old friends back will do that. Isa makes an exaggerated show of stretching, one of her feet getting dangerously close to Lea's ribs again.]

Maybe you should go get some of those for out here, then, so I can take over your couch.

[ Nope. Grabbin' that ankle before you get any funny ideas. Also it was actually completely innocent, but it's a fair assumption to make with these two. Lea opens her mouth to say something, watching her with a flat expression, but then she looks away and reaches up with her free hand to scratch the back of her head. ]

The bed's big enough, if you really do want a nap.

[ That is actually also innocent, though the embarrassed way she brings it up could be interpreted differently. Realistically, they were teenage girl bffs who then went through something traumatic where almost everyone else was an evil adult. It was just them. They've probably shared a bed in the past.

And honestly, Lea's scared that, if she leaves her here, or even leaves the room, Isa will disappear. That's what her friends always do. They go away, and then she finds them again, and then they're gone. Again. ]

Only if you're sure. I am pretty tired still.

[she doesn't want to intrude. they're friends, but not entirely the correct friends, not that it matters that much. this is normal for Lea; weird would be something like Even or Ienzo offering to share a bed in the same situation.]

Look, we'll take a nap, then I'll make us food.

[ This is probably only somewhat of a threat, for Isa. She can cook a little... Her grilled cheese is great. ]

Then, I'll show you around.

[ You can practically hear the clinging at this point, but Isa knows her well enough to know that, aside from being a shitty cook, Lea's just stressed by the concept of being apart right now. It'll go away. ]

[nah, she gets it. she never forgot Lea's tendencies, especially when she was exploiting them to be a douche.]

Sounds like a plan. Are you gonna neanderthal me into your bedroom or can I have my foot back?

[Isa has probably dragged Lea places by her ankle in the past, even before she became stronk.]

Not like it wouldn't be justified.

[ She remembers. It's said flatly, but she lets go of Isa and crawls off the couch to stand up, stretching hard as if she needs to look any taller. ]

[dammit, she was hoping for a free ride. oh well, up she gets as well, though she's clearly actual tired and not Lea tired. there's a difference, you know. but she's kind of slouchy, and yawns as she stretches as well.]

It was your own fault back then, for doing things that required me to haul you away by your feet.
